RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS:  Sealed proposals for the work described below will be received at the Office of the City Administrator, City of Saint Peter, 227 South Front Street, Saint Peter, MN 56082 until 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.

COMPLETION OF WORK:  The Contractor shall have 30 calendar days to complete the work with all work under the Contract completed by June 30, 2018.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CITY CODE ORDINANCE CHANGE

CHAPTER 12 “BUSINESS LICENSING AND REGULATIONS” AND CHAPTER 30 “OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS”

 
The City Council of the City of Saint Peter shall consider a proposed City Code modification related to Chapters 12 and 30 of the City Code related to the minimum required age for sale of tobacco products and use of fake identification for purchase of tobacco products by those under age 21 as part of the April 23, 2017 regular meeting which begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Governors' Room of the Community Center.  The proposed ordinance shall be as follows:
 
CITY CODE CHAPTER 12 “Business Licensing and Regulations, Article III “Tobacco Products” SECTION 12-95 “Restrictions”, SUBD. 7, amended to read:
 
Subd. 7.           No person shall sell or give any tobacco-related products to any person below the age of 21 years.
 
CITY CODE Chapter 30 “Offenses and Miscellaneous Provisions” SECTION 30-83 “Offenses Against Public Health And Safety- Unlawful Use And Furnishing Of Tobacco”, SUBD. 2 and SUBD. 3, amended to read:
 
      Subd. 2.           It is unlawful for any person to furnish tobacco or a tobacco-related product by any manner or means and in any form, to any person under the age of 21 years.
 
      Subd. 3.           It is unlawful for any person to allow any person under the age of 21 years to use any identification for the purpose of attempting to purchase or to purchase tobacco or a tobacco-related product or in any way otherwise assists another in violating any provision of article III of chapter 12 or this Section.
 
Notice of these proposed changes will also be directly provided in writing to all licensed tobacco sellers as directed in Minnesota Statute 461.19.

The City of Saint Peter Department of Public Works Electric Utility is requesting formal written proposals for the following materials/equipment:
 
70—Valmont 16’ Round Tapered Aluminum Poles with 3-Bolt Anchor Base
Part # R 150830504T3  SBF H-X
 
All freight included in price. THERE WILL BE NO MATERIAL DELIVERED ON FRIDAY’S.
 
All proposals will have to meet the Valmont Structures Spec. you will have to supply a cut sheet of the AL Poles.

  REQUEST FOR BIDS - 2018 ASPHALT PAVEMENT CRACK SEALING

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that proposals for crack sealing will be received and opened on, April 18, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. in the Municipal Building, 227 South Front Street, Saint Peter, Minnesota  56082 - 1874.
The contractor will supply and install approximately 40,000 pounds of asphalt pavement crack sealant material on streets and trails, the final total to be determined by the City based on unit price proposal and budget considerations.  Contractor will supply all equipment necessary for crack sealing including all necessary safety equipment and traffic control equipment.  Traffic control shall include posting each construction area as a temporary “No Parking” zone.
Contractor’s personnel must be in compliance with OSHA standards including wearing all required safety equipment.  All procedures and equipment shall be in compliance with OSHA standards.
Specifications are available at the City Administrator’s Office of Saint Peter, Minnesota, where instructions and proposal forms may also be obtained.  All proposals must be submitted on proposal forms and submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City Administrator with the words “Crack Sealing” written on the envelope.  AA/EOE

 NOTICE OF PROPOSED CITY CODE ORDINANCE CHANGE CHAPTER 2 “ADMINISTRATION”, DIVISION 4 “PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD”, SECTION 2-461 “COMPOSITION”

 

 

The City Council of the City of Saint Peter shall consider a proposed City Code modification related to the membership of the Parks and Recreation as part of the May 14, 2018 regular meeting which begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Governors' Room of the Community Center.  The proposed ordinance shall be as follows:

 

City Code Chapter 2 “Administration”, Division 4 “Parks and Recreation Advisory Board”, Section 2-461 “Composition”  Sec. 2-461. Composition.  The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall consist of 11 members.  Two members shall be members of the City Council and each of these members shall be appointed for a one-year term.  One member shall be recommended by the Saint Peter School District #508 Board from their members or staff and shall be appointed for a one-year term.  All remaining members shall be appointed for three-year terms.  All members of this Board shall be appointed by the City Council.  *In addition to these 11 members, ex-officio nonvoting members of the Board shall be the Recreation and Leisure Services Director, the Public Works Director and the City Clerk-Administrator.  Vacancies during the term of any member shall be filled by the Council for the unexpired portion of the term.
